Eclesiástico 30, 22-27
NÃO ENTREGUE TUA ALMA À TRISTEZA

“Não entregues tua alma à tristeza,
não atormentes a ti mesmo em teus pensamentos.
A alegria do coração é a vida do homem,
e um inesgotável tesouro de santidade;
a alegria do homem torna mais longa a sua vida.
Tem compaixão de tua alma e torna-te agradável a Deus, e sê firme;
Concentra o teu coração na santidade,
E afasta a tristeza para longe de ti;
Pois a tristeza matou a muitos.
E não há nela utilidade alguma,
A inveja e a ira abreviam os dias,
E a inquietação acarreta a velhice antes do tempo.
Um coração bondoso e nobre, banqueteia-se continuamente,
Pois seus banquetes são preparados com solicitude”.

                                               DO NOT TAKE YOUR SOUL TO SADNESS

                                                    "Do not deliver your soul to sadness,
                                                 do not torment yourself in your thoughts.
                                                        A joyful heart is the life of man,
                                                 and an inexhaustible treasure of holiness;
                                                    the joy of man makes it his life long.
                          Have mercy on your soul and become acceptable to God, and be steadfast;
                                                       Concentrate your heart in holiness,
                                                        And the sadness away from thee;
                                                            For the sadness killed many.
                                                          And there is some utility in it,
                                                        Envy and wrath shorten the days,
                                              And the restlessness leads to old age before their time.
                                                    A kind heart and noble feasts on continuously,
                                                       For his banquets are prepared with care. "

                                                 Nehmen Sie nicht Ihre Seele zur Traurigkeit

                                                      "Nicht liefern Ihre Seele Trauer,
                                                     quäle dich nicht in deinen Gedanken.
                                               Ein fröhliches Herz ist das Leben des Menschen,
                                                und ein unerschöpflicher Schatz der Heiligkeit;
                                              die Freude des Menschen macht es sein Leben lang.
                            Erbarme dich deiner Seele und werden für Gott annehmbar, und standhaft;
                                             Konzentrieren Sie Ihr Herz in Heiligkeit,
                                                         Und die Traurigkeit von dir;
                                                       Für die Traurigkeit töteten viele.
                                                        Und es gibt einige Utility darin,
                                                      Neid und Zorn verkürzen die Tage,
                                         Und die Unruhe führt bis ins hohe Alter vor ihrer Zeit.
                                              Ein gutes Herz und edlen Feste kontinuierlich,
                                           Für seine Bankette werden mit Sorgfalt vorbereitet. "
